A high score is not proof

For teachers and editors: what to do when the detector shows a high percentage.

Don't rush to accuse

The detector gives a probability, not conclusive proof. It can be wrong: in 0–2% of cases it may mistake an ordinary human text for AI work (on student essays — even more often). Never lower a grade or punish a person based only on the percentage shown by the program.

Talk to the author

Ask how the text was written: drafts, notes, sources. A person may have polished their writing with AI, and an AI text may have been edited by hand — the score can't tell these cases apart.

Check by hand

Compare with the author's earlier work; look for sudden jumps in style, facts the author couldn't know, or references that don't exist. Re-check the text in Precise mode.

Keep the evidence

Save the report (CSV/printout) with the date and mode, and write down what you decided and why. When in doubt, show the text to a second reader.
